Initiated in the early 2000s, Goro-Nickel began operations in New Caledonia using innovative ore processing technology, resulting in high-concentration metal solutions requiring careful treatment.

By 2010, effluent plume dispersion monitoring began via spot sampling.
To improve quality, cut costs, and solve logistical issues, comparative studies validated the superior efficiency of Diffusive Gradients in Thin films (DGTs) over traditional methods, paving the way for an automated solution.

Thus, THOË® was born in 2018.
